The team that supports me in organising all things Large Systems consists of Roger Fowler, Geoff Eggleston & Simon Chang.

Here's what they do and have done outside of GSE:

Geoff Eggleston:

My first experience of an IBM Mainframe was an IBM 370/158 running OS/VS1 in July, 1979. I have never looked back!

I am currently the Tivoli System z Software Sales Leader for IBM UK Ltd. I have worked with mainframe software for IBM UK Ltd since 1994. I was one of the founder members of the IBM Software Business.

Since 1979, I have detailed working experience with organisations that use IBM Mainframes, mainly in UK Ireland and South Africa. This also involves extensive experience in the mid-range and PC environments, together with many years teaching part-time IT and COBOL. Since leaving school I have been employed full time in Mainframe Operations, Mainframe Operations Management, Systems Programming, Technical Consultancy, Man Management and Selling Mainframe Software/Services Solutions.

I have a BSc (Applied Computer Science) from Manchester.

I am a Mixed Gas Technical Scuba Diver in my spare time.

Simon Chang:

Simon Chang is a Software Consultant with BMC Software, working for the Mainframe Systems Management pre-sales organisation.  Simon has 24 years industry experience, gained through Computer Operations, Systems Programming, Technical Consultancy and supporting and selling Mainframe software solutions.  

Roger Fowler:

Roger Fowler is a Consulting IT Specialist with IBM United Kingdom Limited. He is responsible for technical leadership of z/OS, Parallel Sysplex and cryptography on System z in the UK and pre-sales System z technical support. Prior to joining IBM twenty years ago, Roger worked in large systems technical support for two large energy corporations and a financial institution.
